Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation was born from grief and transformed into hope.
After losing our precious Wyatt at just 6 weeks old, we knew we wanted to honor his brief but meaningful life by helping other families going through the same experience.
Today, we serve families whose children are battling congenital heart defects (CHDs) and other life-threatening medical conditions. We meet them in hospital rooms, during their darkest hours, and remind them of one essential truth:
You are not alone.
How we serve families
We provide four key pillars of support to warrior families:
Comfort
Through our Warrior Care Bag program, we partner with local hospitals to deliver essential items when families need them most.
Support
We offer individualized financial assistance for food, housing, parking, transportation, and other emergency needs on a case-by-case basis.
Education
We create and share resources and information about congenital heart defects (CHDs) and navigating complex medical care.
Encouragement
We help connect warrior families to peer support from parents who have walked this path and truly understand.
More about the families we support
Warrior families come in many forms!
Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation grew out of our own family’s experience with congenital heart defects (CHDs), and much of our work still centers on education and support around CHDs.
However, we’re inspired by Wyatt’s resilience and bravery to support all families whose infants and young children are battling a complex or life-threatening medical condition.
We partner closely with Tidal Health and Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, to support families of little ones fighting for their lives.
