Any family being transferred from TidalHealth Salisbury to a larger hospital for specialized infant care receives a Warrior Care Bag during their transfer. In addition, we provide bags to families as needed at Children’s National Medical Center.

We are only able to accept new items. Each item included in a Warrior Care Bag is carefully selected with medical needs and hospital transfer requirements in mind. For example, we only include onesies with snaps for ease of access during care, and we keep overall bag weight light for families in transit due to medivac weight restrictions.

To ensure every bag meets these important standards, we ask that those wishing to donate items do so through our Amazon Wish List, which is regularly updated with approved products. Monetary donations are also welcome and allow us to purchase items as specific needs arise.

Each item in a Warrior Care Bag is carefully selected to meet the immediate needs of families during an unexpected hospital transfer. For parents, this includes comfortable leggings, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a cooler bag for breast milk, and more, along with a $25 Visa gift card to cover urgent expenses.

For babies, items are chosen to work seamlessly with medical care: snap onesies instead of zippers for easy access, mittens to prevent grabbing cords and wires, and hats and socks to keep infants warm and dressed—even when medical care limits what they can wear. Families also receive a notebook and pen to take notes while meeting with medical teams.

Every bag includes a letter from Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation explaining our mission and offering additional support. Families can request further assistance here.

Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation is primarily funded through direct donations and the support of our community. We also host annual events such as Ladies Night, our Golf Tournament, and our Stuff the Bag campaign in honor of Wyatt and Vincent’s birthdays.
